The miniature model-making workshop OBTIOS Ltd. was established in 2005 in Sofia by the film and theater director Sunny Sunninsky. The studio employs professionals from the fields of computer design, sculpture, textiles and scenography.
For the period 2005 – 2017 the workshop has manufactured more than 150 miniature houses, banks, hotels, churches, buildings and landscapes. The workshop works in scale 1:10, 1:25, 1:50, 1:100, 1:200 by drawings, sketches and photographs.
From 2015 OBTIOS Ltd. has its own manufacturing facilities and machinery as well as the equipment for scanning real objects. The studio has experts in all processes necessary for the model-making – from the early stage of scanning the building through to graphic processing and delivery of the final product – the model for indoor and outdoor use. The materials used comply with the client's requirements. OBTIOS Ltd. holds all necessary certificates of quality and safety under the European standards.
OBTIOS Ltd. is the only workshop in Bulgaria that creates open-air miniature models.
OBTIOS Ltd. is the main consultant and contractor in the construction of the park with open-air models in other countries such as Georgia, Italy, Belgium and Russia. Our models have participated in international exhibitions and competitions.
Since 2007 it has been using Belgian technology and materials together with the Mini-Europe Park in Belgium and the Madurodam in the Netherlands. The miniature models manufactured by OBTIOS Ltd. have a proven 10-year guarantee durability and resistance to temperature changes – minus 50 to + plus 50 degrees Celsius.
OBTIOS Ltd. engages in projects for municipalities, companies, museums and attraction parks from Bulgaria and abroad. We’ve completed projects under EU programs jointly with Bulgarian and international partners. We’ve manufactured the miniature models for the "Bulgaria in Miniature" exhibition since its inception in 2005.
We have a wide range of decorative elements and parts for miniature models such as benches, park and street lamps, trees and shrubs, telephone booths and cars. We manufacture models with operative lights, moving parts and sound system.
OBTIOS Ltd. also manufactures sculptures for indoor and outdoor use and provides specific construction of buildings requiring layout of facades or interior and exterior solutions.
OBTIOS Ltd. develops and implements unconventional projects in the field of cultural tourism, entertainment facilities by author’s designs, documentaries, animation, theater sets, puppets, costumes and trade fair booths, exhibitions and stands.
